The Associate - Maintenance is responsible for supporting basic maintenance and facility upkeep activities at assigned sites, as well as assisting with operational tasks related to the processing of post-consumer electronics. The role performs routine, task-based work under supervision in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Main responsibilities

  • Perform assigned routine preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with minor repairs and general facility upkeep activities.
  • Complete maintenance and operational tasks based on work orders and supervisor direction.
  • Identify and report equipment issues, faults, or safety concerns to management.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines in all tasks.
  • Operate assigned equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) upon completion of required training and certification.
  • Support production operations as needed, including working on the production line during downtime.
  • Participate in safety programs and comply with all EHS policies and procedures.
    Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Support team operations and assist in other areas of the facility as directed.
  • Participate in required training and development activities.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, safety issues, bugs, or other issues immediately to the appropriate management personnel; assist with incident investigations as needed.
  • Support positive employee relationships and team environment.
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Assist with continuous improvement and cost control activities.
  • Support Lean Six Sigma program initiatives.
  • Participate in other relevant training as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

 

Experience / Qualification Required

  • Relevant high school qualifications or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Two years of proven experience working in an industrial environment with machinery
  • One or more years of facility maintenance support experience preferred
  • Experience as a mechanic with the use of tools
  • Knowledge in mechanical, electrical, masonry, plumbing, among others.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions (English preferred)
  • Ability to follow a preventive maintenance program; conduct safety inspections of equipment; and interpret instructions, specifications, drawings, and manuals
  • Ability to interpret and implement regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people at multiple levels.
  • Ability to maintain and organize records and documentation
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Mechanical fitness
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
