— Parental Leave
To support you in one of life’s most important transitions, we offer a minimum paid parental leave standard globally:
- 12 weeks’ Paid Parental Leave for Primary Carers
- 6 weeks’ Paid Parental Leave for Non-Primary Carers
- Access to employer funded parental leave after you’ve completed 6 months’ employment with us

We provide support navigating life’s challenges in the form of an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which covers:
- Access to speak to a qualified counsellor via phone or in-person
- Support for a range of concerns including financial, relationships, life transition, support with work-related concerns

Do you know a friend who already works at Sims?
- Our Employee Referral Program recognizes employees who successfully refer people aligned with Sims Values, and bring the experience required for the role they’re referred to
- If a referral is hired full-time, the referring employee may receive a bonus once the new starter has been successfully employed for a period of time (subject to regional program terms and conditions)
