Purpose of Role
The Learning Experience Designer creates, delivers, and evaluates learning solutions that enable employees to perform effectively and consistently. This role partners with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design engaging, learner-centered training aligned to business needs and operational realities.
Principal Accountabilities
- Identify training needs and translate business requirements into effective learning solutions.
- Design training courses or modify and improve existing courses to meet and/or accelerate addressing specific business objectives.
- Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
- Evaluate and assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of new skills and techniques into employee work behavior.
- Consult with the Group Learning System Lead to manage content upload, delivery, and maintenance via the Sims University Learning Center for SLS Global, including managing events, curriculum and adding users or courses.
- Analyze and leverage available global courses and curriculum for all proposed programs to ensure the best utilization of the system.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Use company brand voice and messaging to reinforce the company culture.
- Support SLS Learning & Development team projects, such as leadership training initiatives and the SLS Knowledge Hub.
- Support training delivery in various venues such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, webinars, workshops, and e-learning.
- Keep up to date on the latest training trends, developments, and best practices.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Training attendance rate, course completion rate, learner’s satisfaction rate.
- Job Performance Impact.
Key Relationships
- Internal – SLS Global President, SLS Global HR team members, regional departmental/functional area managers, SLS and Group marketing teams, site management, SLS employees at every level, and Group L&D team.
- External - Training vendors, offsite training venues.
Experience / Qualification Required
- Experience designing and delivering training in corporate or operational environments.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum design and training.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Instructional Technology, Communications, English, Management Science, or related field preferred.
- Five years’ experience in a manufacturing, electronics, or technology industry preferred.
- Position requires up to 15% travel to conduct training.

- German or Spanish fluency is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Work will be performed in a typical office environment that may involve the use of audio-visual equipment or office equipment.
- Work will occasionally be performed in a warehouse environment or a training area within a warehouse environment.
- Must be flexible and can manage multiple tasks during stressful times while meeting training deadlines.
- Must be able to handle personnel issues and situations as they arise professionally.
