Purpose of Role |
The Director, Group Capital Markets, is a senior role within Group Treasury, created to directly support the execution of Sims Limited’s global funding, hedging, and treasury transformation agenda. This role currently has one direct repo, however this will need to be recruited. This role is the second most senior individual in the Treasury team and will provide a leadership contribution irrespective of reporting lines. This role will require a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset given small team size. The successful candidate will work in close partnership with the Group Treasurer on complex, high-impact initiatives spanning financing strategy and execution, financial hedging, leasing, treasury operations, systems, and policy governance. The role is global in scope and highly execution-oriented, with direct involvement in refinancing activity, simplification of legacy treasury structures, and strengthening of controls and governance.
