Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the optimization of our global property portfolio across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
This role will work closely with business leaders to develop and execute property strategies that support operations and long-term business growth as well as unlock value in the property portfolio. As part of this role, the position will oversee the purchase, sale, and leasing of properties. The successful candidate will combine strong strategic thinking with deep property expertise to ensure the company operates with the most effective use of owned and leased assets.
Key Responsibilities
Global Property Strategy
- Work with business leaders to develop and implement a global property strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the property footprint and unlock value in the property portfolio, including through consolidation, expansion, relocation, or divestment of sites.
Property Transactions and Management
- Lead and manage the acquisition, sale, and leasing of properties across multiple jurisdictions.
- Conduct site selection analysis, feasibility studies, and financial evaluations to support investment or sale decisions.
- Negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and other property-related matters.
- Maintain visibility of lease commitments and key property obligations.
External Partnerships
- Manage relationships with real estate brokers, landlords, consultants, and legal advisors across multiple regions.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure property transactions comply with local regulations, zoning and permitting and environmental requirements.
- Identify and manage risks associated with industrial property ownership and leasing.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience in commercial or industrial real estate or property portfolio management.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities with the ability to align property decisions with operational and financial goals.
- Understanding of zoning, environmental regulations, and permitting considerations for industrial facilities.
