Job Summary:

 

  • Hauling aluminum shreds to and from facility Berea town Novellus 16 miles continuously operating a Tandem Axel Dump Truck.
  • You must pass a pre-employment physical, background check, and drug screen.
  • The hourly pay rate is $19.00 per hour.
  • It's a 40-hour average work week.
  • The schedule is a 12-hour rotating swing shift with a mix of day/night shifts.
  • Day shift hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Night shift hours are from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. 8 days per month off.
  • You MUST be able to work both shifts!
  • This also requires working every other weekend.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operates transport vehicles such as Tandem/Single Axel Dump Trucks
  • Complies with all Company policies, procedures, and initiatives relevant to the job
  • Maintains a safe work environment and adheres to the company's safety plan.

  • Review the daily schedule to determine supplies needed for the accuracy of routing.

  • Ensures the daily supplies are on the vehicle before leaving the dock to proceed with the daily schedule.

  • Communicate with the Logistics Department at the end of each stop on the scheduled route.

  • Completion of daily drive route sheet.

  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections.

  • Perform vehicle fueling and turn in corresponding receipts to the logistics manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • A valid CDL Class B, license is required
  • A valid DOT Card is required
  • The position requires a minimum of 21 years of age, or older
  • Experience driving transport experience in an industrial environment is preferred
  • Must possess a current clear motor vehicle report
  • Must communicate in English (oral and written)

  • Must pass DOT physical and drug testing requirements

  • Must understand Basic DOT Regulations

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

  • Constant physical effort, including standing and sitting is required during a regular work shift
  • Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods
  • Stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform key duties
  • Exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting
  • Exposed to the natural elements
