Prior certified training from a union, trade schoolor tech institute is required

In-depth knowledge of conveyor systems, hydraulics, belt systems, motors, and other industrial machine mechanisms essential for job procedures is required.

Maintenance Technician:
We are searching for a talented and qualified maintenance technician who has proven experience with industrial and construction equipment repairs. In this position, you should also be able to make decisions, troubleshoot, and perform repairs with little to no supervision. You will be responsible for dismantling machinery, transferring equipment, interpreting blueprints, and installing equipment. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of conveyor systems, hydraulics, belt systems, motors, and other industrial machine mechanisms essential for job procedures. Must be a team player with strong attention to detail. Trouble shooting or repairs to mobile equipment such as high lifts, forklifts, and hydraulic cranes as well as electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems are a must.

Maintenance workers are expected to complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.

Applicants must demonstrate aptitude in the use of hand and power tools. Additional skills such as welding, a basic understanding of electrical wiring, or pipe fitting are a plus. Reading blueprints or schematics also necessary.

 

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

Applicant must be able to perform routine preventative maintenance and extensive repairs or rebuild work on heavy manufacturing production equipment with an emphasis on conveyor systems. Trouble shooting or repairs to mobile equipment such as high lifts, forklifts, and hydraulic cranes as well as electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems are a must.

Maintenance workers are expected to complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.

Skills:

  • Disassemble and reassemble the equipment for repair or transportation.
  • Build the foundation for machines.
  • Construct and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.
  • Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
  • Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance to avoid contamination or safety hazards.
  • Grind and file machinery parts.
  • Supervise construction workers when using the equipment.
  • Work with a range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding, and brazing equipment.
  • Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.
  • Visit various construction sites.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a maintenance technician
  • In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
  • Good communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment.
