We are looking for a highly motivated Internal Communications Specialist for our Guadalajara operations. The Internal Communications Specialist will report to the Global Marketing Director and will manage and support a variety of communications activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute internal communication plans to support company initiatives, culture, and values.
- Create, edit, and distribute internal content, including emails, newsletters, intranet updates, and leadership messages.
- Collaborate with HR, leadership, and other departments to share key company news and updates.
- Manage internal communication platforms (e.g., intranet, Slack, email, digital signage).
- Plan and support internal events, including town halls, employee meetings, and engagement programs.
- Gather employee feedback and analyze the effectiveness of communication to inform strategy improvements.
- Generate content gathered from SLS locations to distribute messaging through external mediums, including but not limited to quarterly business reviews, social media, and blog posts.
- Ensure messaging is consistent, clear, and aligned with the company’s tone and brand.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; Level 6 award, certificate, or diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related role.
- Fully bilingual in English/Spanish.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with internal communication tools (e.g., SharePoint, Slack, Microsoft Teams).
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with leadership.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of employee engagement and change management best practices is a plus.
- Candidate must live within the Guadalajara, Jalisco area or be willing to relocate.
