The Non Ferrous Yard Supervisor is a key role in the production of recycling nonferrous scrap metal. The primary function is to manage the daily operations and employees of the nonferrous processing yard. The role of the Supervisor is the direct supervision of processing nonferrous scrap metal.
Major Job Responsibilities/Duties
Manage day to day operations of the nonferrous yard. Adjust yard processing to meet production demands and improve inefficiencies.
Manage employees and take disciplinary steps as needed. Implement safety rules to all employees.
Conduct monthly yard inspections and physical inventory counts. Review equipment inspections daily.
Prepare and review outbound shipments. Grade material inbound and outbound as needed.
Various other tasks will be required and assigned as needed for continuous flow of operations.
Create and maintain a safe work environment. Follow SIMS Metal Management and OSHA safety requirements in all aspects of the day to day operations and lead by example to all employees.
