This is outdoor work in an industrial setting (includes working in inclement weather).

 

Prior experience working in an industrial setting, such as recycling, is highly preferred!

 

Job Summary

The supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in operating machines that process (screen, sort, separate, and bale) recyclable materials.

 

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Observes sorting, equipment operation, processing, and packaging operations for conformance to the company’s specifications
  • Review production schedules and confer with the supervisor staff to plan shift operations
  • Assign duties to workers according to production schedules and demonstrate safe and efficient use of equipment
  • Inspect machinery and equipment to verify conformance to production standards; prepare time, attendance and production reports
  • Run, schedule, and ensure all metrics are being met daily
  • Delegate and monitor workers in completion of tasks and schedules
  • Lead process and/or quality teams on improving workflow and quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in an industrial setting, such as recycling, is highly preferred!
  • At least 3+ years of manager or supervisory experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Physical ability to perform heavy labor
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Strong safety values

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
