Working Yard Foreman – Pick & Pull Yard

Pay: Starting at $26/hour, with the potential to pay more based on experience.

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Working Yard Foreman for a busy Pick & Pull / auto salvage yard. This is a working leadership role that will assist with day-to-day yard activities while actively working alongside the team.

This position will learn and work in all areas of the yard, with a strong focus on heavy equipment operation, equipment maintenance, safety, and supporting daily yard operations.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on in all areas of the Pick & Pull yard as needed.
• Assist with leading and coordinating daily yard activities.
• Operate loaders, excavators, forklifts, skid steers, and other heavy equipment.
• Move, stage, organize, and process vehicles throughout the yard.
• Perform equipment inspections and assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Help coordinate equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Train and support employees on safe equipment operation and yard procedures.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
• Lead by example and work alongside the team to complete daily goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy equipment or industrial yard experience preferred.
• Experience with loaders, excavators, or similar heavy equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance knowledge.
• Previous lead or foreman experience preferred.
• Willingness to work in all areas of the yard, not just operate equipment.
• Strong safety, communication, and leadership skills.
• Auto salvage, Pick & Pull, scrap metal, or recycling experience is a plus.
