Your New Role:
We’re seeking a driven, customer-facing individual for our Nerang yard. Reporting to the Yard Manager, you will work within a team to sort, grade, purchase, and process scrap metal using various equipment. IMMEDIATE START!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Load & unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers with forklift
- Operate equipment, including Forklift and other heavy machinery (where licensed)
- Ensure customers receive a high level of service.
- Grading and sorting materials.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy site and associated activities to comply with environmental guidelines while demonstrating personal responsibility and commitment to OH&S policies and procedures.
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for exceeding expectations.
- A valid Forklift license and operational experience are essential. Excavator operation experience is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and build new skills through training
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.
