— Parental Leave

To support you in one of life’s most important transitions, we offer a minimum paid parental leave standard globally:

  • 12 weeks’ Paid Parental Leave for Primary Carers 
  • 6 weeks’ Paid Parental Leave for Non-Primary Carers 
  • Access to employer funded parental leave after you’ve completed 6 months’ employment with us

We provide support navigating life’s challenges in the form of an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), which covers:

  • Access to speak to a qualified counsellor over the phone or in person 
  • Support for a range of concerns including financial, relationships, life transition, support with work-related concerns

— Employee Referral Programme

Do you know a friend who already works at Sims? 

  • Our Employee Referral Programme recognises employees who successfully refer people aligned with Sims Values, and bring the experience required for the role they’re referred to
  • If a referral is hired full time, the referring employee may receive a bonus once the new starter has been successfully employed for a period of time (subject to regional programme terms and conditions)

Whilst a lot of our work requires us to be out and about or on site, we’re constantly innovating to enable flexibility for all roles, depending on job requirements.  

  • Our site-based roles offer shifts that start and finish early (or late!) giving you space in your day to spend time on the other things you love in your life
