Your new role

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced leader to manage our Darwin Yard. Reporting to the NT and SA Operations Manager, this position provides you with an opportunity to work with our NT team in order to ensure the yard operates at maximum efficiency whilst maintaining excellent vendor and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all yard operations to ensure Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality requirements are exceeded.
• Maximise sustainable profit by establishing and implementing production goals, objectives and procedures in line with budgets and forecasts.
• Use knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and with the use of continuous improvement techniques for maximising the effective processing of scrap.
• Conduct training as required, including induction of new employees.

Essential Criteria:

• 2 + years of previous leadership skills in a similar industry
• Knowledge and understanding of the scrap metal industry and its processing techniques and equipment
• In-depth scheduling, planning, and time management skills
• Basic understanding NHVR mass and dimension limits
• A forklift or Excavator ticket is ideal
