Transport Manager

We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on transport professional ready to take the next step in their career. This is an opportunity for someone with a strong operational background and the drive to step up and shape the role, helping lead positive change across our SA/NT transport operations.

You’ll work closely with our drivers, contractors, and support teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable transport outcomes. The role combines strategic thinking with practical involvement — improving networks and performance while staying connected to day-to-day operations.

This is a role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, building strong teams, and using data and insight to make operations better every day.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Help build and strengthen a culture of safety and compliance across Chain of Responsibility and Heavy Vehicle Law
  • Support the optimisation of routes, assets, and network performance using IVMS, GPS, and transport systems
  • Assist in managing fleet performance, maintenance planning, bin utilisation, and asset replacement
  • Monitor and improve key transport KPIs including on-time delivery, cost per tonne/km, and safety outcomes
  • Support effective cost control and budget management
  • Champion Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards within the team
  • Build strong working relationships with contractors and ensure contractual expectations are met
  • Use operational data and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Contribute to a team culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement

About You

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in transport or logistics who is ready to step up and make the role their own.

You may already have leadership exposure, or you might be a strong transport professional looking for the opportunity to grow into a broader leadership position. What matters most is your drive to improve operations, support people, and bring fresh thinking.

  • Experience in transport, logistics, or fleet operations
  • Understanding of Chain of Responsibility and heavy vehicle compliance
  • Exposure to transport KPIs, fleet performance, or operational reporting
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to manage costs effectively
  • Comfortable using IVMS/GPS systems and transport data
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to bring people together
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo and drive improvement

If you’re ready to step up, shape a role, and help drive the next phase of our transport operations, we’d love to hear from you.
