Our Wingfield yard is seeking a practical, hands-on yard hand / plant operator, to contribute to general yard activities, maintain smooth and safe daily operations, and assist customers with basic enquiries and service needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Load and unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers
- Grade, sort, and manage metals to meet operational and quality standards
- Maintain site compliance with environmental guidelines and OH&S policies
- Deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
- Operate plant equipment including material handlers, forklifts, loaders, and excavators (where licensed)
What we're looking for:
- Experience operating forklift - Licence essential
- Excavator, loader, skid steer, or other plant tickets - advantageous
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Hands-on approach and willingness to be flexible
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and excellent attendance
- Positive, can-do attitude and openness to training to expand skills
