Your new role:

Join a dynamic team at Olympic Damn, reporting directly to our Operations Manager SA/NT, working on a FIFO 2:2 roster. In this hands-on, salaried role, you'll operate heavy-duty shears and other equipment to process scrap metal, playing a key part in our safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate fixed and mobile shears to cut and process scrap metal
  • Load and unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers
  • Grade and sort metals according to type and quality
  • Provide great customer service on-site when required
  • Adhere to all OH&S policies and procedures, maintaining a strong safety mindset

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience operating shears in a scrap or industrial environment (preferred)
  • Forklift (LF) licence is ideal
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
  • High attention to detail, reliability, and a safety-first attitude
  • Openness to upskilling and learning new equipment
