We're seeking an experienced HC Driver to join our growing Wagga operation. If you enjoy being on the road, take pride in your work, and are looking for a stable role with a respected industry leader, we'd love to hear from you.

 

This position offers autonomy in your day-to-day work, and the opportunity to play a key role in supporting local customers and operations throughout the region. Daily hours will be varied and can include some early starts.

 

 

About the Role

 

As an HC Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection, transport, and delivery of scrap metal bins across our customer network. You will be the face of the business, delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Collect full scrap metal bins and deliver empty bins safely and efficiently.
  • Follow daily collection schedules and run sheets to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Conduct pre-start vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are maintained in a safe operating condition.
  • Operate company vehicles in accordance with road laws, site requirements, and company procedures.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through professional and reliable service.
  • Report incidents, hazards, customer concerns, and compliance issues promptly.
  • Complete required transport documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, environmental, and operational standards.

 

Who are we looking for:

 

  • Current HC Licence is essential for the role is a valid forklift licence.
  • Demonstrated heavy vehicle driving experience.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads effectively.
  • Reliable and professional approach to work.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
