We're looking for a hands-on Yard Operator to join our team at Coffs Harbour. You'll be operating forklifts, sorting and grading non-ferrous metals, and buying materials from customers at the counter.

This is a solid day shift role with consistent hours and real variety in the work.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Operating equipment including forklift
  • Loading and unloading trucks, skip bins and trailers
  • Ensure customers receive a high level of service
  • Sorting and grading metals
  • Keeping the yard running safely and efficiently

 

What you'll need

  • A current forklift licence
  • A solid work ethic and reliable attendance
  • Comfortable working independently and staying on task
  • Happy to learn new skills and pick up additional tickets over time
  • Prior experience in a scrap metal, recycling, or similar is a bonus but we'll back the right person with training.
