What you'll be doing:
- Operate mobile plant and equipment, including excavators, and material handlers.
- Sort and process ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Follow all health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Identify and report hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Assist with general yard and operational duties as required.
- Provide excellent customer service to drivers, suppliers, and customers.
Who are we looking for:
- Previous experience in a hands-on operational, manufacturing, recycling or yard environment.
- Previous experience operating material handlers and excavators is essential.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of metal grading or recycling processes is desirable but not essential.
