Join our maintenance team and learn hands-on while working alongside experienced tradespeople maintaining heavy industrial plant and equipment.

 

Whether you’re a school leaver, completed Cert I in Engineering, have hands-on experience with tools, or are already a qualified tradesperson, this role offers a genuine pathway into a long-term maintenance career, including apprenticeship opportunities for the right candidate.

 

This is an afternoon shift position, offering shift loading and the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive, team-focused environment.

 

About the role

 

Working as part of our maintenance team, you will support the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment. Depending on your experience level, you will be:

  • Assisting with maintenance and repairs of plant and machinery
  • Learning to carry out mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance under guidance
  • Supporting breakdown response and fault finding
  • Assisting with inspections and reporting potential maintenance needs
  • Maintaining tools, workshop areas, and equipment
  • Working safely and contributing to a strong safety culture

 

This is a hands-on role with ongoing opportunities to learn and develop practical mechanical skills.

 

About you

 

We welcome Trades Assistants, school leavers, mechanically minded candidates, and qualified Tradespeople.

 

You may bring:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work
  • Experience using hand and power tools (this may be from work or school training such as completing a Cert I in Engineering or similar)
  • Current driver’s licence and reliable transport to get to and from site
  • Trade assistant, labouring, automotive, or similar experience (desirable but not essential)
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Reliable work ethic and commitment to safety

 

This role is ideal for someone looking to get their foot in the door and develop a long-term career in maintenance, including apprenticeship opportunities for the right candidate.
