We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Maintenance Fitter/Boilermaker to join our NSW team, based in St Marys.

 

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll play a key role in carrying out preventative maintenance, servicing, and day‑to‑day repairs on our fixed and mobile equipment. This role also includes blade changes and adjustments, routine maintenance tasks, and supporting operational reliability across the site. A Forklift (FL) licence is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant equipment, including hammermill shredder, conveyor systems, balers, and metal sorters

  • Carry out blade changes, sharpening, and adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance

  • Complete routine maintenance tasks across fixed and mobile plant

  • Work to a daily maintenance plan and complete all relevant documentation

  • Respond to and assist with equipment breakdowns

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality protocols

 

About You:

  • Trade‑qualified Fitter & Turner, preferably with experience in conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes

  • Boilermakers with strong mechanical maintenance experience are also encouraged to apply

  • Basic arc welding and oxy cutting skills would be an advantage

  • Hold a current driver’s licence

  • Forklift licence (preferred)

  • Hands‑on experience in an industrial or metal processing environment

  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
