St Marys Location | Day Shift (6:00am - 2:30pm) | Career Growth Opportunities

 

Looking for a hands-on maintenance role where you can put your skills to work every day and still have your afternoons free?

 

We're seeking a Maintenance Fitter or Boilermaker to join our team at our St Marys site. Whether you're a qualified tradesperson, an experienced maintenance professional without formal qualifications, or an experienced Trade Assistant ready to take the next step, this is an opportunity to work on heavy industrial plant and equipment while building your career in a supportive environment.

 

About the Role

 

As part of our maintenance team, you'll play a key role in keeping our plant operating safely and efficiently. Working across a range of heavy machinery and equipment, your responsibilities may include:

 

  • Performing preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on heavy industrial plant and equipment
  • Assisting with maintenance activities, depending on your level of experience
  • Conducting blade changes, sharpening and adjustments to optimise equipment performance
  • Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
  • Fabrication, welding and component repairs (Boilermaker trade)
  • Maintaining conveyors, shredders, hydraulics and other heavy plant equipment
  • Following maintenance schedules and completing maintenance documentation
  • Contributing to a safe and productive workplace

 

About You

 

We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels. You may be:

  • A qualified Maintenance Fitter, Boilermaker or similar trade professional
  • An experienced maintenance technician who has developed strong practical skills without formal qualifications
  • An experienced Trade Assistant looking to progress towards a trade qualification

 

To be successful, you'll bring:

 

  • A current driver's licence and reliable transport
  • Experience working in a maintenance, manufacturing, recycling, industrial or heavy plant environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, conveyors, shredders or heavy mobile plant (advantageous)
  • Welding and fabrication experience (highly regarded)
  • Forklift and or EWP high risk work licence highly regarded.
  • A proactive, reliable and safety-focused approach to work
  • The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
