We’re looking for a trade‑qualified Maintenance Fitter or Boilermaker to join our St Marys maintenance team, taking ownership of mechanical repairs, breakdowns, and preventative maintenance across conveyors, shredders, hydraulics, and heavy plant. This is a hands‑on role with autonomy, variety, and strong opportunities to broaden your skills.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy industrial plant

  • Blade changes, sharpening, and performance adjustments

  • Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues

  • Fabrication, welding, and component repairs (for Boilermakers)

  • Maintenance of conveyors, shredders, hydraulics, and heavy plant

  • Working to a daily maintenance plan and completing required documentation

 

What you'll bring

  • Trade qualification: Maintenance Fitter, Boilermaker, or similar mechanical trade

  • Experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing or processing environments

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to maintenance

  • Knowledge of hydraulics, conveyors, or heavy plant (advantageous)

  • Welding/fabrication experience (for Boilermakers or dual‑trade fitters)

  • A current driver’s licence and reliable transport
