Your New Role

We have an excellent opportunity available for a motivated and experienced Electrician to work for the NSW maintenance team, based at our St Mary’s site.

 

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be working alongside operators, fitters and engineers within a busy industrial environment.

You will work on the recycling plants which requires technical and diagnostic skills, fault finding, basic knowledge of PLC’s and Scada systems.  

 

This position includes an additional shift allowance of 15% + overtime

Company mobile and laptop provided

 

Hours of Work: 10:30am – 6:30 pm Monday – Friday with the possibility of morning shift and overtime when required.

Your Responsibilities Will Include 

 

  • Assist with plant and equipment breakdowns through troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues efficiently
  • Inventory control of electrical spare parts
  • Manage electrical contractors on small projects
  • Complete safety documentation including but not limited to risk assessments & work permits
  • Assist state engineering manager with the procurement of electrical equipment
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance

 

To Be Successful in This Opportunity, You Will Have

 

  • Trade qualification with industrial experience
  • A current driver’s license
  • Proven experience in an industrial setting
  • Experience working within a team and collaboration with contractors
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Sound knowledge of electrical systems and machinery
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong focus on safety, with sound understanding of Workplace health and safety
  • Flexibility to work in the morning shift and overtime as required
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to daily work
  • Basic knowledge of PLC’s and Scada systems
  • Proficient computer skills
