We're looking for a motivated and reliable Yard Hand to join our Rocklea team. Whether you're starting your career in heavy industry or looking for a hands-on role with long-term opportunities, we'll provide the training, support, and development to help you succeed.

 

If you enjoy working outdoors, being part of a close-knit team, and learning to operate heavy machinery, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

 

What you’ll be doing?

 

  • Processing, sorting and handling recyclable materials
  • Loading and unloading trucks and customer vehicles
  • Learning to operate forklifts, excavators and other mobile plant equipment
  • Conducting general yard maintenance and housekeeping
  • Supporting site operations and material movements
  • Following all safety, environmental and operational procedures
  • Identifying hazards and contributing to a strong safety culture
  • Providing great customer service to customers, suppliers and transport operators

 

What we are looking for:

 

We're interested in people with the right attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

 

You'll ideally have:

 

  • A strong focus on workplace safety
  • Reliability and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to work
  • Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
