We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Rocklea. This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently using schematics and technical drawings.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drives (VFDs), switchgear, PLCs and communication systems.
  • Ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime across the site.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to support production requirements.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) requirements.

 

To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:

 

  • Current Queensland Electrical Licence.
  • Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician.
  • Strong knowledge of VFD motor drives, switchgear, PLCs and industrial communication systems.
  • Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Solid understanding and application of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
