Your New Role

We are seeking a reliable, detail- orientated and customer service focused Weighbridge Operator to join our team at the Port Hedland site.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Timely and professional customer service
  • Accurately weighing incoming and outgoing scrap metal using the weighbridge scale.
  • Accurate record of weight measurements, customer information and other relevant date into our computer systems.
  • Completion of payments in accordance with customer trading terms
  • Maintaining an organized office, including organization of files and records
  • Providing administrative support to the Yard Manager
  • Demonstrating a high focus on safety

To Be Successful in This Opportunity, You Will Have

  • Proven customer service skills
  • Excellent communication & numeracy skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills, specifically data entry, speed and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Friendly telephone manner
  • An organized approach, you will manage your time effectively
  • Previous experience operating a weighbridge will be highly advantageous but is not essential
  • Availability to work overtime during bulk vessel shipping periods
