Your new role
Reporting to the State Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance and Site Services team by providing efficient administrative and coordination support to ensure the site runs safely and effectively.
Based at our Port Hedland site, this is a residential (locally based) role, suited to a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys working closely with frontline teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Raising and managing maintenance work orders and service requests
- Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance schedules
- Preparing purchase requisitions, tracking orders, and processing invoices
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and service providers
- Maintaining maintenance records, compliance registers, and documentation
- Assisting with contractor onboarding, inductions, and site access requirements
- Supporting reporting, budgeting, and data tracking for maintenance activities
- Providing general administrative support to the Maintenance team
- Ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Demonstrating personal responsibility for and commitment to OH&S policies and procedures
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in an administration supporting maintenance, industrial, or operational environments
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
