"Join Our Team! Machine Operator Needed - Immediate Start at Northgate"
Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will join a dynamic team responsible for sorting, grading, purchasing, and processing scrap metal using various types of heavy equipment. This is a full-time position with an immediate start available.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operate the 30T Excavator and/or Material Handlers to load/unload trucks, skips, bins, trailers, and break down to process large used steel items for recycling.
- Accurately grade and sort scrap metal materials.
- Maintain a safe and tidy site in compliance with all OH&S policies and environmental guidelines
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and build new skills through training
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.
- An Excavator ticket and a minimum of 5 years of operational experience (essential)
- Material Handler experience using five-grapple and other shear operations (desirable)
