We are looking for an experienced Operator to join our recycling operations team. Reporting to the Yard Manager, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of our busy site, operating a range of mobile equipment including excavators and forklifts while helping to process and recycle valuable materials.

What you’ll be doing:

• Operating forklifts, excavators and other mobile plant safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading trucks, trailers and skip bins.
• Sorting, grading and processing ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Assisting with the receival, processing and dispatch of recyclable materials.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment.
• Following health, safety, environmental and operational procedures.
• Identifying and reporting hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Supporting general yard operations and site activities as required.
• Delivering outstanding customer service to drivers, suppliers and customers.

What you’ll bring:

• Current Forklift Licence and practical operating experience.
• Previous experience operating heavy mobile plant and equipment.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• A reliable, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Team-focused approach with a willingness to help wherever needed.
• Knowledge of metal grading and recycling processes (desirable but not essential).
