We are hiring an Entry-Level Customer-Facing Warehouse Assistant at our Napier yard!

 

Our Napier team is looking for a practical, active, and hands-on warehouse/forklift operator to play a key role in our daily operations. Based in the warehouse, this position is heavily focused on forklift operation and physical material handling, combined with excellence customer service.

 

Full training will be provided for successful applicants!

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Primary focus on operating forklifts to move, load, and unload trucks, bins, and trailers.
  • Sorting, grading, weighing, purchasing, briquetting, bagging, and palletising non-ferrous metals for transfer and stocktake.
  • Assisting customers on-site with basic enquiries and service needs during drop-offs.
  • Taking personal responsibility for a safe workplace by adhering to all OH&S policies and procedures. 

 

To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:

  • Attention to detail – This role involves working with various Non-Ferrous metals and requires the ability to identify and separate different materials.
  • A can-do attitude, you will be open to undertaking training to diversify your skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, numeracy skills, and basic computer literacy.
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or similar roles.

 

Desirable criteria:

  • Forklift ticket highly regarded
  • WTR license
