Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing timely collection services with a focus on safety, customer service, punctuality, and great flexible attitude.

This role involves the use of a Class 2 with Hiab, or truck-mounted crane to load and collect loose scrap metals and bins. Full training will be provided for the successful applicants!

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring efficient service to customers by collecting scrap metal in a timely manner.
• Communicating with management to identify any on-site concerns regarding OHS, environmental, or collection issues arising.
• Work in accordance with a daily plan for routine collections, our site safety, environmental and quality procedures.
• Operation of any additional mobile plant/equipment (forklift, excavator, etc. where licensed) to assist with collection/loading.

Essential Criteria:

• NZ Class 2 (or more) driver license.
• High levels of customer service, good communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously or in a team environment.
• Flexibility with both transport and operations.

Desirable criteria:

• NZ Class 4 (or more) driver license.
• Truck-mounted crane/HIAB experience.

• Previous experience in a similar industry would be highly regarded.
• WTR and/or Forklift tickets are highly regarded.
