Weighbridge Operations Coordinator

 

Are you an organised operations professional with strong administration, logistics, and customer service skills? We are seeking a Weighbridge Operations Coordinator to join our busy recycling and resource recovery operation in Milperra.

 

About the role:

 

As the Weighbridge Operations Coordinator, you will be the central point of contact for weighbridge operations, ensuring the accurate processing of transactions, transport documentation, stock administration, and reporting activities. You will work closely with the Yard Manager to support daily operations while driving efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement across the site.

 

This is a critical role responsible for coordinating weighbridge activities, supporting logistics operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional service to customers, drivers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

 

The role will also support non-ferrous export compliance, ensuring accurate material classification, documentation, traceability, and export processes in line with relevant regulatory, customer, and international trade requirements.

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Coordinate daily weighbridge operations, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to suppliers, transport providers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing material documentation and system records.
  • Process vendor payments, account reconciliations, and financial administration activities.
  • Coordinate transport and logistics activities for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental standards, Chain of Responsibility requirements, and site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, spreadsheets, and filing systems.
  • Assist with inventory control, stock processing, and end-of-month stocktakes.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities and support implementation of best practices.
  • Support training, development, and ongoing operational excellence across the site.
  • Administer non-ferrous export operations, ensuring accurate records and compliance with export requirements.



Who are we looking for?

 

  • Experience in weighbridge operations, logistics coordination, transport administration, or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong administration and data-entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience with financial processes including cash handling, reconciliations, and account administration.
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Exposure to AX, MEX, Truck Scale systems or similar ERP/operational systems will be highly regarded.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Current Forklift Licence (preferred).
