Looking for a hands‑on maintenance role where you can use your trade every day and still have your afternoons free?
We're looking for a Maintenance Fitter or Boilermaker to join our team at our Milperra site on day shift (6am–2:30pm). Whether you hold your trade qualification, have been doing the work without the ticket, or are an experienced trades assistant ready to formalise your skills — this role offers real work on heavy industrial plant and equipment, with genuine pathways to grow.
About the role
As part of our maintenance team, you'll work hands-on to keep our plant running at its best. Depending on your experience level, you'll be:
- Performing or assisting with mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy industrial plant and machinery
- Blade changes, sharpening, and adjustments to optimise performance
- Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues
- Fabrication, welding, and component repairs (Boilermakers)
- Maintaining conveyors, shredders, hydraulics, and heavy plant
- Working to a daily maintenance plan and completing documentation
About you
We're open to candidates across a range of experience levels. You might be:
- A qualified Maintenance Fitter or Boilermaker (or similar trade) ready to own the work
- Someone with solid hands-on maintenance experience who hasn't yet formalised it with a ticket/qualification — we'll support you to get there
- An experienced trades assistant who's ready to step up and build toward a trade qualification
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Experience in heavy industrial environments (preferred)
- Knowledge of hydraulics, conveyors, or heavy plant (advantageous)
- Welding/fabrication experience (for Boilermakers or dual-trade fitters)
