The role
Sims is building something new - a centralised transport desk that sits at the heart of our ANZ operations and changes how we think about fleet, cost, and service delivery.
It's a step into a high-visibility team at the centre of a major operational change. The kind of role where strong performance gets noticed, and progression is real. As a Transport Coordinator, you'll own real-time allocation across our internal and external fleets, working within a structure that's being built with intention.
This role is based in Mascot with a minimum of four days per week in the office while the team finds its rhythm.
What you'll be responsible for

Own daily scheduling and real-time allocation across ANZ fleets

Act as first point of contact for transport requests, changes, and service issues

Balance cost, service, and operational constraints in live allocation decisions

Monitor fleet and bin utilisation using Talcasoft
-
Identify opportunities to reduce idle time and improve asset productivity

Maintain accuracy of transport systems to ensure real-time visibility of all movements

Ensure jobs, allocations, and completions are correctly recorded for billing and contractor payments

Raise and manage purchase orders; validate invoices against completed transport activity

Execute allocations within Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR frameworks

Liaise with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to keep things moving
About you

Experience in transport allocation or coordination (freight, commodity, export, or logistics)

You make decisions and own the outcome

You build relationships naturally and communicate clearly

Cost and results matter to you

Sound knowledge of CoR and NHVR frameworks.

Tertiary qualification in Transport, Logistics, Business or similar is well regarded
