The Role:

In this hands-on role, you will lead end-to-end recruitment as the Talent Acquisition subject-matter expert, partnering with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and attract top talent. You’ll own and deliver the TA strategy, implement practical sourcing methods, and make a real impact on processes, the candidate experience, and Sims’ employer brand.

 

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Deliver end-to-end recruitment for corporate/head office roles, while supporting operational and blue-collar hiring as needed.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to guide them in following best-practice recruitment processes that are efficient and deliver a positive candidate experience.
  • Use recruitment data and insights to inform hiring decisions, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure recruitment practices are consistent, compliant, and well-governed across the region.
  • Develop and deliver recruitment training and coaching to hiring managers to build capability and embed best practices across the business.
  • Lead talent acquisition and employer branding initiatives with HR and Marketing to strengthen Sims’ employer value proposition and build sustainable talent pipelines.

 

About you:

  • Proven experience in Talent Acquisition, partnering with hiring managers and building strong external networks.
  • Hands-on experience managing end-to-end recruitment across diverse roles, balancing sourcing, stakeholder engagement, and delivery.
  • Skilled in TA platforms and sourcing channels, including Seek and LinkedIn, with ATS experience (SuccessFactors desirable).
  • Strong ability to analyse recruitment metrics and provide actionable insights on time-to-fill, quality of hire, diversity, and process performance.
  • Experience working in a decentralised or matrix HR environment, driving consistency, governance, and best-practice approaches.
