The Role:

This is a full-time, high-impact role responsible for shaping how we assess, prioritise and track capital investments - ensuring our projects are financially sound, strategically aligned and delivered with rigour. You’ll partner closely with operations, engineering and commercial teams, providing expert financial modelling, risk analysis and business case support for complex capital projects and M&A opportunities.

 

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Lead and support the development of high-quality business cases for complex capital projects
  • Build and review robust financial models (DCF, NPV, IRR, payback analysis)
  • Deliver clear, concise investment materials (presentations, written cases, financial analysis)
  • Contribute to short, medium and long-term capital budgeting processes
  • Support assessment of M&A opportunities, including modelling and due diligence input
  • Enhance and maintain a best-in-class capex reporting suite
  • Uplift organisational capability through coaching and guidance on business case development
  • Strengthen and embed transparent, rigorous investment approval processes

 

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or STEM (minimum)
  • Strong financial modelling capability (including DCF and valuation fundamentals)
  • Experience in capital investment analysis and capital accounting concepts
  • Advanced Excel skills (PowerBI, SAP or similar systems experience highly regarded)
  • Ability to identify and quantify risks using scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Excellent communication skills - able to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations.
