We are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Sales Representative to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for procuring ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals across Western Australia developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving volume and margin targets.

 

About the Role

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional who enjoys building partnerships, negotiating deals, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Develop and manage business opportunities through lead generation, networking, industry events, tenders, and cold calling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure competitive procurement within company guidelines.
  • Monitor market activity, pricing trends, and material intake volumes.
  • Prepare and submit accurate tenders and quotations.
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly, and ad hoc performance reports.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and results-driven professional with strong commercial acumen and a passion for building customer relationships.

 

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in account management, sales, procurement, trading, or business development.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to identify opportunities and successfully close deals.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • A self-motivated approach with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Resilience, initiative, and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Experience within recycling, commodities, manufacturing, logistics, waste management, or industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals is advantageous.
