Your new role
We have an excellent opportunity available for a motivated and experienced Maintenance Fitter - Fixed Plant to work for the WA maintenance team, based in Kwinana Beach.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will assist in undertaking preventative maintenance, service and repairs on word class fixed plant whilst adhering to safety requirements.
You will be rewarded with ongoing mentoring opportunities, working for a sustainable growing business in a supportive and friendly team.
Hours of work are Monday - Friday 3.00pm to 12.30am
Your responsibilities will include:

Participate in preventative and predictive maintenance to all fixed plant and equipment, including our hammermill shredder, downstream conveyor system , baler & metal sorters.

Work in accordance with a daily plan for routine maintenance and complete relevant maintenance records

Participate in various continuous improvement and other programs as required

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with our site safety, environmental and quality procedures

Provide assistance with plant and equipment breakdowns
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
- Trade qualified as a Fitter with desirable experience in Conveyors, Motors and Gearboxes
- A current driver’s license
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with conveyor systems and metal processing equipment
- Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Forklift ticket advantageous
- Strong focus on safety, with sound understanding of Workplace health and safety
- Flexibility to work overtime as required
