Your new role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will assist in maintaining various pieces of fixed and mobile plant within our recycling yard, and complete fabrication work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing repairs in a safe and efficient manner ensuring machine availability
- Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance activities
- Recommend and implement improvements to plant and work practices
- Participate in maintaining a clean work area
- Working with other tradespeople to complete repairs
- Ability to work overtime in case of break down and plant shutdown as required
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
- Boiler making trade qualification
- Forklift and EWP license (highly regarded)
- Extensive background in maintenance, servicing and repairs
- Fabrication and welding skills (Mig, Arc and Oxy Cutting)
- Experience in working in a production / industrial environment
The roster for this position is 3pm – 11.06pm/12.30am subject to what’s happening on site. You will be eligible for shift loading on top of a competitive hourly rate and overtime applies after 11.06pm each day!
