Your new role
Reporting to the Granulator Team Leader, you will be responsible for the safe operation of our granulator plant. This is a diverse and rewarding role for someone who takes pride in above the line thinking — owning their responsibilities, stepping up, and working safely with purpose.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating forklifts, excavators & other machinery (as required)
- Container loading for transport and export
- General yard duties and housekeeping
- Grading and sorting materials
- Routine inspections and repairs
- General and preventative maintenance
- Demonstrating personal responsibility for and commitment to OH&S policies and procedures
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
- Forklift (LF) license
- Excavator ticket (highly desired)
- Granulator Plant experience (highly desired)
- Ability to work independently
- A can-do attitude, you will be open to undertaking training in order to diversify your skills
- Excellent attendance, reliability and attention to detail
- A strong work ethic and a safety-first approach
- Someone who leads with accountability and initiative
- Flexibility to jump into a range of tasks each day
- Experience in a metal recycling or heavy industrial environment (preferred)
