Yard Operative - Gosford

Your new role: 

Reporting to the Yard Manager, you will safely operate machinery, sort, grade, and purchase metals in a fast-paced environment.

Hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday to Friday - 38 hour week

Your responsibilities will include:

• Load & unload trucks, skip bins and trailers

• Operate equipment, including forklift and/or excavator (where licensed)

• Ensure customers receive a high level of service

• Grading and sorting materials

• Safely perform other manual tasks in line with the company requirements

• Demonstrating personal responsibility for and commitment to OH&S policies and procedures

• Undertake training relevant to position and or company requirements

To be successful in this opportunity, you will have: 

• Forklift (LF) license - non-negotiable

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

• A can-do attitude, you will be open to undertaking training in order to diversify your skills

• Excellent attendance, reliability and attention to detail

It will be of added advantage if you have:

• Heavy machinery experience

• Scrap metal experience
