Your new role.
Reporting to the Yard Manager, this role is primarily responsible for supervising all yard operations to ensure the processing and transport of scrap metal is completed in a safe and efficient manner in line with Company requirements and customer service principles and relevant legislation.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Maximise productivity by supervising yard personnel in their designated daily duties and coordinating plant requirements to ensure tasks are completed within the required timeframe.

Monitor and review tasks and actively apply continuous improvement techniques to ensure highest level of efficiencies are achieved.

Maintain high levels of customer service for self and for direct reports.

Ensure self and direct report compliance with the requirements of the Safety, Health, Environment and Community Systems.

Support and encourage diversity and inclusion, positive employee relations and teamwork

Comply with all Sims Metal policies, standards and procedures to the position
