Production Operative

 

Reporting to the Leading-Hand, you will safely operate machinery in order to sort, grade and purchase metals. Full training will be provided for the successful applicants. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Load and unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers.
  • Operate equipment, including forklift and/or excavator (where licenced).
  • Ensure customers receive a high level of service.
  • Grading and sorting metals.
  • Demonstrating personal responsibility for and commitment to OH&S policies and procedures.

 

To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:

 

  • Attention to detail - This role involves working with metal and requires the ability to identify and separate different materials.
  • A can-do attitude, you will be open to undertaking training to diversify your skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, numeracy skills, and basic computer literacy.
  • WTR license and a Forklift licence would be desirable not essential
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or similar roles is advantageous.
