Your New Role:
We're on the lookout for a driven individual to join our team at our Brendale yard. This role entails collaborating within a close-knit team, skillfully operating equipment, and meticulously handling materials to ensure the smooth and precise processing of scrap metal. Reporting to the Facility Manager, you will safely operate machinery in order to sort, grade and purchase metals.
Duties:
- Load & unload trucks, skip bins and trailers.
- Maintaining site and associated activities to comply with environmental guidelines.
- Operate equipment, including forklift and/or excavator (where licensed)
- Ensure customers receive a high level of service.
- Grading and sorting materials.
- Demonstrating personal responsibility for and commitment to OH&S policies and procedures.
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
- Eligible to obtain a Marintime Security Identity Card (MSIC)
- Forklift (LF) license - would be an advantage
- LE Excavator license.
- Ability to work independently.
- A can-do attitude, you will be open to undertaking training in order to diversify your skills.
- Excellent attendance, reliability and attention to detail.
