LEAD a team of 11 and make a real impact on the environment!

In this role, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery and plants, contributing to the smooth processing of scrap metal. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and grow your career with a global leader in sustainability, with full training provided to set you up for success and opportunities to develop into management roles.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely and professional face-to-face customer service in the office and warehouse
  • Monitor quality and classification of incoming and outgoing materials
  • Analyse production data to identify opportunities to improve yields
  • Organise and maintain the warehouse and the yard, ensuring a tidy and safe working environment.
  • Operate machinery as required to assist daily operations
  • Good problem-solving, planning, and prioritising skills
  • Lead a team of 11 staff members

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in customer service, basic computer skills
  • Attention to detail – This role will be working with metals, requiring the position to be able to identify and separate materials
  • Good written and verbal communication, and numeracy skills
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a machine operator or similar position (e.g. forklift, material handler, excavator/shear)

 

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience in operating other heavy machinery (e.g., material handler, forklift, HRB Baler)
  • Forklift, WTR endorsements preferred
