We are hiring an Entry-Level Yard Hand / Belt Picker at our Auckland Ferrous yard!

 

Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, you will join a dynamic team responsible for sorting, grading, and picking on the metal scrap processing production line. This is a full-time position with an immediate start available.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately identifying and picking commodities from the conveyor line.
  • Following the Lockout-Tagout procedures to operate safely on the picking (conveyor) line.
  • Completing pre-start equipment checks and task risk assessment.
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy site in compliance with all OH&S policies and environmental guidelines

 

To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and build new skills through training
  • Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • A valid Forklift license is highly desirable.
