Yard Operator

We're looking for a confident operator to join our tight-knit team in Alexandria/St Peters. You'll spend your days in the seat of a Material Handler and Forklift, helping to sort and process scrap metal in a safe, well-run yard. No two days are the same and you’ll be making a real impact in a company that values sustainability and solid teamwork.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (standard hours)

• Every second Saturday (overtime rates apply)

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Load & unload trucks, skip bins and trailers

• Operate equipment, including forklift and Material Handler

• Ensure customers receive a high level of service

• Grading and sorting materials (on-site training provided)

• Demonstrating personal responsibility for and commitment to OH&S policies and procedures

To Be Successful in This Opportunity, You Will Have

• Forklift (LF) license/ticket

• Forklift & Material Handler / Excavator experience

• Ability to work independently

• A can-do attitude and willingness to undertake training to diversify your skills

• Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail
