Weighbridge Cashier
We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Weighbridge Administrator to join our busy recycling and scrap metal operations team in our St Peters Yard.
As the first point of contact for customers, suppliers, and drivers entering our site, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate processing of scrap metal transactions, vendor payments, weighbridge documentation, and financial records. This is a varied position that combines administration, customer service, cash handling, and operational support in a dynamic industrial environment.
The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing outstanding customer service to drivers, customers, and visitors
- Operating the weighbridge and maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Assisting with bulk shipping and logistics administration
- Provide site safety information and directions to ensure visitors move safely throughout the yard
- Verify material descriptions, weights and transaction details before processing
- Identify and report hazards, near misses and unsafe conditions
- Support stocktake and other operational activities as required
What you’ll bring:
- Highly accurate with strong data entry and numeracy skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work collaboratively in a close-knit team
- Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage competing priorities

Previous weighbridge experience (but don’t worry if you don’t, we’ll provide full training for the right person!)
